Important note: İLGERU is based in Türkiye. Our primary data protection framework is Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK No. 6698), which is materially aligned with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This English version describes our practices in GDPR-friendly terminology for international visitors; the Turkish version is the legally authoritative text under Turkish law.

2. What Data We Collect

When you use this website or our contact form, we process the following categories of personal data:

  • Identity & contact: name, email, phone, company name, sector (if provided)
  • Communication content: the message you send us and any attachments
  • Technical: IP address, browser/device info, cookies (see Cookie Policy)

3. Why We Process It (Legal Basis)

  • To respond to your inquiry — legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) and KVKK Art. 5/2(f). We need your contact details to reply.
  • To send marketing communications — only with your explicit, opt-in consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) / KVKK Art. 5/1). You can withdraw at any time.
  • To comply with legal obligations — invoicing, accounting and audit retention as required by Turkish law.

4. How Long We Keep It

Sales inquiries: 2 years from last contact unless you become a customer. Customer data: duration of contract + retention periods required by tax/commercial law (typically 10 years in Türkiye). Marketing consent records: until you withdraw + 3 years for proof.

5. Who We Share It With

We do not sell your data. We share it only with:

  • Our infrastructure providers (cloud hosting, email delivery) — bound by data processing agreements (DPAs)
  • Authorities when legally required (court order, tax inspection)

6. International Transfers

Primary data residency is Türkiye. Where infrastructure providers operate in the EU (Frankfurt, Dublin), data may be processed there under Standard Contractual Clauses. Transfers outside Türkiye/EU are not part of our default architecture.

7. Your Rights

Under both KVKK and GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access your data
  • Request rectification or erasure
  • Restrict or object to processing
  • Data portability
  • Withdraw consent at any time
  • Lodge a complaint with the Turkish Data Protection Authority (KVKK Kurulu) or, if you are in the EU/UK, with your local supervisory authority

8. Security

HTTPS-only website, encrypted backups, role-based access in our internal systems, security event logging. For a full security spec, request our pre-contract Security Information Pack via the contact form.

If we materially change this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date and — for customers — send an email notice. Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
